S&C for Sports Performance

With a degree in sports science, a master’s in exercise physiology, and a host of professional accreditations, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role as a Strength and Conditioning (S&C) coach. I have had the privilege of working with elite athletes across various sports, including Inter-county GAA teams in both hurling and football, as well as professional rugby and soccer teams. My experience at these high levels of competition has refined my approach to training, ensuring that every athlete I work with receives a top-tier, tailored program. Combining my academic background with extensive practical experience, I design evidence-based performance programs that prioritize the unique needs of each athlete. My training is focused on developing strength, power, agility, and endurance while emphasizing injury prevention and recovery. As a UEFA B-licensed coach, I also incorporate advanced insights into player development and tactical understanding, creating a well-rounded approach that benefits athletes on and off the field. Throughout our training sessions, I emphasize functional movements, biomechanics, and proper form to help athletes perform safely and effectively. My coaching philosophy revolves around consistent progress and adaptability, ensuring that programs evolve in line with an athlete’s growth, seasonal demands, and evolving performance goals. My aim is to empower each athlete to excel in their sport with confidence, resilience, and discipline, setting them up for sustained success.

When choosing tests for sports performance special consideration must be given to the energy requirements and biomechanical movement pattern specificity of the sport.
